10 year WEDDING Anniversary for
THE HARPSTEINS
AUGUST 9, 1997
Since we did not go on a honeymoon after we were married we decided to go to a very nice place in Cannon Beach, Oregon, The Stephanie Inn. It was very, VERY nice and we were very pampered there. It is a five star "hotel" and you better believe they deserve every one of those stars.
Hubby gave me roses and included our special wedding flower, the Lily in the boquet and picked out the vase himself. This was on August 9th, our actual anniversary day.
My roses and our wedding candle.
Close up of our wedding flower from my boquet
Front entrance to the Stephanie Inn.
View of the entire Stephanie Inn..notice my car "hotness" parked next to the red one? Access to the beach can be seen on the right hand side.
Tim posing for me next to our room....room 117

Lobby of the Stephanie Inn...Beautiful!!!
This is their "gift shop". You pick out what you want and take it to the front desk...talk about the "honor system?" You can see the door to our room in the background, between the two poles.
This is the rose that was left on the bed for us when we arrived. Part of the "Romance Package" Tim purchased for me.
This is our wetbar and closet. We had complimentary pop and water in the fridge and a bottle of wine, (included in the romance package) in the fridge.

Sunset at Cannon Beach with haystack Rock int he background.

The beautiful beach at sunset.
Another picture...this was sooo peaceful and relaxing.
This was our dinner....it was DELICIOUS!!!

They really pampered us...they wrote happy anniversary on our desert plates and every where we went the staff KNEW we were celebrating our anniversary. They all said congratulations or happy anniversary...it was sooo awesome!!!

Tim snoozes on our KING SIZE bed while i take pictures and write in the journal that was in our room. There were a lot of entries in it and I read quite a few of them. People come from ALL over (even Canada) to stay here at the Stephanie....there was even a Kennewick couple that stayed in our room...its a great place to stay!!
Jeff, our bell hop...SOOOOO sweet!!! He was awesome...I wasn't impressed with the other one that we had so I didn't take a picture of him. The other one was our bell hop when we left..UGH..
The staff at the Stephanie Inn took this picture of us when we left. This is the only picture that we have of us together on this trip because I accidentally erased the other ones we had of us together and the ones of the room itself. I was devastated but that just means we need to go back next year!!

This is the folder that the picture came in but the picture was too big for the folder so I took it out. If you want to stay here the address, web page and phone number are on the folder...you need to make reservations 3-4 months in advance though, especially in the summer months. We booked our room in April and there were only 3 rooms left there for our weekend. They are VERY popular.

My GOOFY boys!!

Tim, Me, Mykal, Sam and TJ Posing for a memory.

JULY 4th, 2007 at Long Beach, Washington
Our camping neighbors are all getting ready to watch the fireworks. The guy in the Seahawks jacket is Steve and he has brought a whole arsenal that Mykal will help to light off in the evening. Mykal is in the red pullover bending down in front of the lady in the chair (he is petting the dog (pomeranian) on her lap). Tim is sitting in the chair watching the fireworks that other people are already setting off but we can't see them very well.
TJ is running after the little parachute firework that was shot off. He kept throwing that in the air and running after it. It entertained him for about 20 minutes.
I asked TJ to pose for the camera but it took too long and he made a huge funny face. I think we will use that for his senior year book pictures!!!

TJ and daddy chillin!!!
These are real beach fireworks campers. They dug a huge pit and sat INSIDE it. They had a huge bonfire later in the evening. YOu can see my shadow and the lady friend and her daughter from our camp.

Fireworks at Dusk from all the beachers....

Fireworks show from some of the beachers...this was a little one.

TJ with his first sparkler!! He was afraid of them so I never tried but my lady friend, camping neighbor offered him one and he was VERY excited to take it. Notice the huge grin on his face. Brother was never far away, you can see him in the background watching over him.

This is the morning after and TJ was totally exhausted!! He is Paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeedddd OUT!!

TJ and Mykal had to sleep on the same bed so I could have the kitchen table available for food in the morning. Since the boys all slept and I was always the first one awake I started breakfast for everyone, (everyday).

OUR VACATION TO CAPE DISSAPOINTMENT STATE PARK
June 29-July 5, 2007
camped in a fifth wheel for a week.

Sunset on Long Beach

Video of Daddy teaching TJ some tricks with tides.

Mommy with her coffee cup. I made espresso everyday for us. That is the beauty of having a fifth wheel with all the hookups....ahhh eletricity and a working toilet!!!

The boys taking a walk on the beach. They all have their little sticks.

Chelle on the horse named, Sister. I had so much fun but had hard time walking afterwards.

Mykal and TJ on horse getting ready to head out for our 1/2 hour beach ride.

Tim taking pictures of our butts in front of the Cape Dissapointment Light house. There were many, many ship deaths in this area until they put the light house up.

Heading up the trail to the light house...I have my stick to fend off bears and cougars or to poke the kids in the back so I can get a head start running back down the trail. HAHAHAHA.

Mykal and TJ head off the trail for a picture opportunity.

Mykal jumped off table in the picture below so TJ wanted a picture of him jumping off the cooler in the picture above. My kids the super action copy cats.

Mykal jumps....

TJ poses, (not willingly) on the Long Beach Boardwalk.

Out on the jetty, watching waves hit the rocks.

TJ is mad at me because I won't let him climb out any further on the rocks or stand up and jump from rock to rock.

Portrait of a father/son moment.

Digging a hole to china

Getting close to china?

Look TJ FITS in the hole!!

Mykal has the bright idea to bury TJ in the sand. TJ falls for it!!

TJ is buried up to his neck....Mykal is about to get his revenge for all the little bugger things TJ did to him!! HAHAHAHA.

Mykal is teaching TJ how to start a fire while Tim sleeps in the background. What a hard vacation he is having.

Me and the boys pose for posterity in front of Long Beach.

Mykal and TJ just chillin'

Mykal and TJ playing in the sand as the sun begins to set.

TJ checks out the beach at low tide.

First thing TJ does is find a snail and makes it his friend.

TJ writes his name in the sand.

Mykal finally gets his marshmellow toasted just right, (after about 20 tries).

Dad teaches the boys how to make a smore. Graham cracker, chocolate and marsmellow and then ya MASH it like this...

Tim entertains us with after dinner guitar playing.
